A Mother's Child
Written and Composed by Remmi-D
From the day
We said "Hello" to the world
She was by our side
Joy streaming down her face
Making promises of love
To her newborn babe
Saying, "I will never leave you,
I am your from now, this day"
The tender life she cradled is her greatest prize
Her greatest joy was when she gazed into our eyes
We will always be a mother's child
You and I
We will always be a mother's child
Ma, Agi, Nani, Raani...pedestal so high
There were young and restless years
Sometimes we brought her grief
She was chasing our demons
While we were chasing our dreams
Yet she taught us good manners
Like saying "thanks" and "please"
She taught us how to pray
And to be reverent when we kneel
And because one day we would spread our wings and fly
She'd walk a thousand miles to help us touch the sky
We will always be a mother's child
You and I
We will always be a mother's child
Her heart is full of Heaven's love
A blessing from above
She would go to Hell to save her child
She will wipe away our tears
Chase away our fears
She's a Queen on a pedestal so high
When we have young ones of our own
Maybe we'll understand
The love that she gave
So gentle, yet ferocious
And if we're blessed to have her friendship
In her golden years
Maybe she'll be smiling
At the path that she's shown us
The circle of life will bring us to where we realize
That nothing will change even after she closes her eyes
We will always be a mother's child
You and I
We will always be a mother's child
Always be a mother's child
Always be a mother's child (fade)
